Just got my mail in and found the club Cobra Commander. I wasn't expecting it, and for sure wasn't expecting it before others started reporting it. I just figured I'd post a heads up for everyone.

I think in an email from Brian he mentioned that this figure was on the way over from China so I figured they'd start going out soon.

Oh yeah... Image

Is this the black one that was never released before?

Right. This figure was originally slated for the Rise of the Robot line that was to follow the Valor vs Venom concept. Unproduced versions popped up on ebay of the figure in light blue. I'm really glad that the club used thsi figure for their exclusive.

Yeah it is a nice figure. It has a ball jointed head like the 25th figures. Still I'm shocked I got it so quick when usually I seem to be around the last to get this stuff. here's some pics:

Thanks for the pics. This is one exclusive I might actually try and obtain. He kind of has the Boba Fett meets Stormtrooper with a little Cobra Co. mixed in. Thanks for sharing.

I can do more shots if anyone needs them, but I tried to pretty much shoot the "needed shots". Plus I figure Justin will have his soon (and I'm still shocked he didn't get his first), and he'll have the full Playboy pictorial going, hehe.

I like the cape most of all from this figure. I would have bought at least 10 of these had they been carded and easily bought in store. That would just be for the cape alone. I might end up making a mold for it if I can get around to doing so. I'll use a rubber based mix that I have to do more with. I don't have anything to create the more rigid material that they're made from. He is a cool figure though. It's almost more like a cerimonial Cobra Commander though. It is good to be able to own this one and not just be a picture of an item never produced.

Is that a Cobra insignia stamped into the back of his head?

Very cool. I'm still not sure if I'd like it as much if it wasn't something that was basically cancelled and otherwise, we'd never have a shot at getting, but it still has some positives.

Does the belt thing come off?

Yep that's a Cobra logo stamped in there. The belt is free and not glued on. Just pop the screw out and it would come off. He also comes with the staff thing that Venomous Maximous had. I just didn't get a picture of that.

I received my Collector's Club CC today. Its a nice figure, can easily be used as someone other than CC. The head features the now-standard neck ball. I tried a few 25th and SW heads on it, some looked too big or sat too low on the neck, but most did fit with a little work.

He comes with a removable hood, cape, knife, and two-sided staff. The staff has a round Cobra logo on one end and a stylized serpent head on the other - it almost looks like an axe or something. I wonder if it would have had a purpose in the Robot Rebellion line?
