I don't own one my self, but i was curious if one of these would slowly cut/melt through a gi joe...

I knowticed when drelling some Joes' that the plastic would begin melting onto the dremmel bit... and i thought maybe a styrofoam cutter would work great for slicing joes apart.

Anyone got one and willing to give it a shot?

I've tried a hotknife, like you use in scale modeling. and got some reall gnarly results, the plastic beads and draws back really bad. I'd think a foam slicer might give you the same results. Has anyone else had luck with either of these?

You're much better off with a Dremel or a Razor Saw...either of them give you better control.

I've toyed around with a soldering iron...but other than the odd bullet hole in armor it's not a whole lot of help.

The hotknife I was using is basically a soldering iron attachment you put a #11 blade in. I thought mayhaps it was me effing it up.

I might see if we have one at my work, I work in a primary school...
Yeah I kinda expected the plastic to melt aroudn the edges a lil, perhaps i jsut need a circular saw attachment for my dremmel instead, Im just a lil concerned about removing a finger or two .

I have a styrofoam cutter at home, I may be able to try it out on a Corps or fodder guy and see what happens this weekend.
