Just when you thought Justin and I were slacking off, squandering our time on Xbox LIVE instead of working on "important things", a brand new set of reviews debuts! Just hitting stores (and e-tailers) is 2008 wave 4-- featuring the long-anticipated release of Major Bludd! It's an interesting wave with some high points and some definite low points. You can check out the reviews (as well as a bunch of Indy gags) at the 25th Anniversary Review Index !

Also, a lot of folks have mentioned that the "white text on black background" was a bit hard to read. I adjusted the template somewhat to make it everything a bit more legible! Check back next week when Justin and I take on the Wave 4 comic packs including the uber-slick new Firefly!

Fred

Great pix and great reviews (even if many of the figures, themselves, aren't so great).

Thanks for sharing.

You guys forgot to mention that the Python Trooper has a fixed crotch. Same with Flint. And also Flint's smaller head.

It's not a stripe. It's a shield outline, just like the one on the original figure.

Yeah, except for the BATs I still plan to buy a bunch of and the odd figure I'll pick up I'm done with the 25th.

Spotty distribution has killed this line for me. I can't find the new figs and now I've missed most of wave 3 and the TRU exclusives.

I'm out. :-x

It's the volunteer luncheon today at the school, so they asked me to replace the secretary while she's eating. No problem, there's not a position I haven't filled in my time at the school. So I'm sitting at the computer, buzzing people in, answering the phone, not heavy work. The grade two french teacher is walking down the hall with her students, fresh from gym class. She shushes them a couple of times unsuccessfully. Her patience lost, she ushers her class into the office.

Everyone else is at this luncheon, so there I sit, surrounded by confused second graders and an angry teacher. She makes a point that people are working in the office and that making noise in the hall disturbs. All the kids look my way and see your reviews on my screen. My work apparently involved several pictures of Cobra Commander.

So how does the new Baroness head look on the five pack body?

I really like her new head sculpt. That straight hair and square glasses really give her a torture chamber/ interrogator look for some reason. All she needs is a syringe, a cat o' nine tails and someone to hurt.

Great reviews as always, guys.

Well since most of the wave isn't good for much at least we get a laugh out of it.

Perhaps if Baroness came with a seeing eye dog it might be more of a buy, but yea it's sad that about all I wanted out of the wave was another Snake Eyes figures and bit of painting on the Flint figure to make up for missing the first one.

Anybody else see a little of Sienna Miller in that new Baroness head? Or is it just me?

Overall, I like wave 8, of course some fig's could've been better, as I don't really care for the "new" Flint. But overall, I'm pleased with it.

I figured part of what makes the Baroness face look strange is the fact that she lacks lipstick or any lip color whatsoever. The glasses are fine as is. She just needs red lips.
