there's a tutorial and a place to purchase. I remember Malcom saying it was quite expensive to get smoothon to Australia don't know if its the same for Europe or not.

For a first time beginner, I highly recommend the SmoothOn Super Sampler set. For about $40 US, you get everything you need all in one go. The plastic quality's not amazingly good, but it'll do for heads and such non-stress-bearing pieces and get your skills up to where you can graduate to the harder and therefore more involved materials. Prepare for this to be a *large* investment in your time and patience. There are very good reasons why not everyone does this.

i'll back that up -- i've made some successful head casts, and not-as-successful torso casts with that kit --

although jfak thinks it's a bunch of crap he can't use...
:shifty:

Yeah it was hard to import to Australia, cause of its weight... but also because i had to ship it to my brother first, in the US first, and then we had to sneak it through customs... cause its a chemical. LOL

I'm surprised it actualyl arrived.

On the plus side, I did some yellow pages searches, and found some sculpting supply stores... for stuff like movie set prop and mask making etc... they dont sell smooth on, but they have alot of similar stuff.
