Lately I have been having this problem with air bubbles. When I put a layer of pain on the figure I end up with these tiny little airbubble spots. Any idea what is causing this?

Apple Barrel, delta cream coat... the usuals.

Shaking might be the answer.

Yeah, I use those brands as well. Try shaking them, and storing them in a cool place. If possible, keep a small fridge ($100 or so at Walmart) to store your paints and inks in.

Do you put your paints on in thick layers?

I paint a layer, then go over it with a wet brush to level all of the paint out and remove and streaks. That might help, too.

It sounds like all the water went to the top. Shake the fool out of the bottles. Try stirring them too if the shaking doesn't work.

I used to have that problem with polly s and floquil acrylics. The emulsion (water) of your paints is evaporating, causing them to thicken. 1 or 2 drops of denatured alcohol in a bottle, then shaking to heck out of it, will lower the surface tension of the paint enough to stop bubbles from forming or staying formed long enough to frell up your finish, without thinning the paint too much.

I've had similar issues with Folk Art paints. They tend to dryout and thicken fast than AB and DC. I've gotten in the habit of adding a bit of water and shaking the crap out of them to try and remedy this.
