So I finally picked up the Anakin with super hip articulation and wanted to know if the shoulder socket is compatible with the arms on the Evolutions Anakin. I've never pulled arms off a Star Wars figure, so I'm not sure if it's even possible to boil and pop them. Has anyone done this particular swap yet?

I don't think you can boil 'n' pop the shoulders. From what I've seen you have to crack the torsos in half and swap out arms that way.

I'm actually working on the same kind of thing only I'm using a comic pack Obi arm that I've modified to take the Anakin gloved hand. Still need to finish tweaking it.

It depends on the torso construction. The new Vader has an ABS torso, so it'll probably need to be cracked like you would with a 25th figure. I dunno if the Evo Ani has an ABS or PVC torso, but if it's the softer PVC, you can boil and pop the arms out.

You probably wont know until you get them apart... if the crackign method doesnt work, try running a razor blade aroudn the joining seem of the torso... tunil u can put something in, to leverage them apart...

As the 25th figures have different sized arm sockets to the ARAH figures, this might also be the same problem...

Although this doesnt mean you cant do waht your tryign to do, it just means you will probably have to mash them together, the entire socket joint as well as the arm... with some apoxie sculpt.
