well you know the cobra symbol on there, how do you keep it if your painting? i mean if your painting a cobra purple, do just paint around the symbol, what about the strip in the middle?

yea you either paint very carefully with a very fine brush, or paint over it and put a cobra decal on.

If theres any detail you DONT want to paint on, either masking tape (finely cut) or a drop of Elmers glue over it, allowed to dry. Once dried, you can paint around the area and when you're done painting, the Elmers glue lifts right up, protecting what you want to save, and catching any accidental swipes in the process.

Masking fluid might help. Basically it's liquid, brush-on latex in a 2 oz. bottle.

The stuff I have is Susan Scheewe Blue Masking Fluid; you'll find in the Artists section of Michael's (where the loose artist brushes, paint trays, etc. are kept). Can't for the life of me recall who on the board recommended the stuff to me, but they swore by it; I've only used it once, with spray paint (which turned out to be a bad idea as it's only meant to handle light brush over, not complete coverage like I did) but it should work fine with acrylic paint--just brush on, let dry, paint, then rub the dried masking fluid off.

On a related note I do know guys who are such good painters they could paint a cobra symbol perfect (I have seen them do much more complex designs in smaller scales so it I bet they could). So it is possible.

thanks guys. I probably should go with logos. So you put the logo on after word, is it on there pretty good, it doesn't come up easy does it?

another thing, how come you can't post these extra smilies on here?
