I want tot try my hands at making a Darth Krayt custom. I have the helmet figured out, but the body is what really concern me.

Here is a picture of what he looks like.

Can you guys help me find a body that could make a good base for that custom? I want him to fit my other Star Wars customs and figure so he must be 3 3/4 or very close.

Thanks!

I think no matter what, you'll have to do a lot of sculpting. If you could find a Predator microman, it looks like some of the armor configuration would be similar. If you wanted to go for a larger figure, a SHS Colossus might be a good idea.

Yeah, I do have microman predator figure, but there will be alot of sculpting to be done there.

I was looking on ebay the other day and I found some cool looking knights from a chinese or japanese serie of figure. They weren`t the good color but they were not to bad. The only problem there is I can`t find them anymore

Wow man. Thank for the info, I will defently try to duplicate that, but it will be alot simpler due to the fact that I can`t sculpt that well.

my approach would be to use a 25th Serpentor as the base, mod the crotch for posability, dremel off some detail, sculpt on the armor, and the shoulder pads i would actually try and use both shoulder pieces from the Xamot/Tomax set.

I just find out that Krayt, before he turned to the dark side, was named ASHARAD HETT. Hasbro has made that figure in a comic two pack with another ladie jedi. I am defenetly gonna use that head for my custom. So I should have the correct facial tatoos. :-D

Just remember, he's a few hundred years older as Krayt, so at least give him gray hair. And you'll have to mod that head for use with a ball-joint. It is, unfortunately, one of the few SW figures to still use a neck-peg.
