Hey guys -

I picked up a can of Krylon "Original Chrome" spray a while back and forgot about it -- until the other day when I decided to use a Serpentor head for my 25A Destro. I'm pretty pleased with the results:

- And Silver Surfer got a new application as well:

Some tips (that I learned the hard way) -- wait a full day for this stuff to dry before handling - or else you'll get your grubby fingerprints on it and ruin everything. After that, the paint holds up pretty well, but just don't bear down on the shiny surfaces or else you might jack them up a little. But the Surfer is still fully articulated - I only sprayed a light coat on and it worked great. I have to re-do the board, though -- you want to make sure you shake the can vigorously before spraying or you'll get some bubbles in your paint.

Just like with normal paint -- better to use it at warmer temperatures. Painting in the garage when it's snowing out doesn't allow for the best curing - had to go back over everything again and let them dry in the basement.

But all in all, I'm pleased. It works just as well as the "liquid silver leaf" I used to use -- and that "LASER BLAST" is pretty toxic and ruins your brushes and is a real [LASER BLAST] to use. The spray was much easier and it got decent results (about halfway between metallic silver paint and actual vac-metallizing for shininess.)

Anyway, thought I'd share -- good luck!
