Hey guys, I've never been into wrestling, but I've seen these little dudes while out hunting and I'm interested in using them for customs, but have a few questions for the guys and gals that own them:

-What's their construction like?

-How easy is it to disassemble them?

-Is the neck articulation 25th Joe-compatible?

-How well do they take RIT dye?

Thank you so much for any help you can offer-- definitely appreciate it! :-D

- They're super articulated. Think a cross between Microman and 25th Joes.

- They boil and pop apart at most of the major joints. Not sure about the chest though.

- They're neck peg is WAY smaller, but it would be easy to dremel out.

- Not sure about dye, but they hold paint OK.

they're main problem (And the thing keeping me from buying more of them) is that they are NOT 3 3/4" scale. They are way short of Joe height. They look like midgets next to Joes and especially bad next to 25th Joes.

Sad really.

try viewtopic.php?f=11&t=5012 for pics of the figs next to the 25th line and such. ;)

I have to seriously disagree here. No two people are the exact same height and these figs look perfectly fine mixed in with Joe, SW, MicroMan, Kamen Rider, bbi, FoV, and Showdown figs. There is in all reality such as thing as being too nit-picky, man - especially if the figs are going to be used for customs of other people than who the fig actually is.

There's not a lot of natural disassembly in them. They pop at the shoulder/bicep swivel, wrist swivel, neck (easiest if you push up on the chin), hip ball, hip/thigh swivel, and ankle.

The shoulder ball connects into the torso similarly to the 25A figs (from what I can tell; but it appears to be difficult to get the chest halves apart - so much so that I've not tried it.

The pelvis looks to be engineered roughly similarly to MicroMan figs, except with a swivel waist instead of a ball waist - same engineering, just differently shaped.

The knees, elbows, ankle hinges, and wrist hinges are all pegged and can be swapped around by peeling/pushing the pin out.

The neck joint is most similar to the Showdown figs, with a barbell inserted between two sockets, one in the head and one in the neck. I cut a notch in the back of the neck to enable a greater degree of looking up. You would need to dremel out the BnB head to fit a 25A neck, and fill in a 25A head to fit a BnB neck.

Viperlord, Roguetiger, and AV: THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH!

Looks like I'll be picking up a couple of these guys for fodder. I'm not too worried about them fitting in with my Joes, as I'm not planning Joe-related characters, but I appreciate the heads-up.

Thanks again for all your help, fellas!

I've picked up both wave one and two of these figures, and highly recommend them.
My only critique is in the arm articulation- I would have preferred a double jointed elbow to go with the double jointed knee.

I have to disagree here too, they look great with RAH figs but they are short compaired to 25th (as are RAH figs are too.

Included photo of Toxozombie and Triple H (from an upcoming project I should be posting soon :shifty: )

My main problem is that there is no scale in the line, in other words Undertaker is the same hieght as Cena ect. that just bothers me a bit (and prevents me from picking up taker and the taller wrestlers).

If you are using soley ARAH figures then yeah it's not that noticable. As long as you don't mind that these guys who are pretty tall in real life are the same height as Tunnel Rat.

But if you like newsculpt and 25th they're Tatoo height.

Oh, come on, they're not that much shorter then 25th figures.

Image

Besides the idea is to use them for customs, so the height difference should not be a real factor.

And not shorter at all than 25A SE. We can agree that some of the BnB figs are too short to be the guy they are; but this in no way, shape, or form makes them short for customizing purposes. I think the vast majority of these figs that will be/are bought by JC members are for customizing; and they need to have the proper information in that regard told. And that information is:

These are arguably the best custom-base bodies ever.

Ummm.. yeah.. you're kind of wrong. Moleman from Marvel Showdown is taller than Tatoo.

Thye looks fine with the Joe figs any sculptstyle.

if you ask me they'd be great for custom Wolverines....and i'm sure othersome others.

useless if you wanna make a tall buff dude, you'd have to hack em apart and lengthen their bodies, and if you're gonna go through that trouble for some height, you might as well just strip down a larger figure and use that.

I just picked up my first one of these (Triple H) and I couldn't be happier with the figure. I guess if I wanted to use him as Triple H instead of just custom fodder, the height might bother me, but since he's about the same height as 25th Tomax/Xamot, the Dreadnoks, and the Crimson Guard (...just the figures I happen to have sitting on my desk to compare to) I'm just fine with him being on the shorter side.

One question though...what's the best way to remove the head? I remember snapping a lot of SHS neck-barbells, trying to remove those heads, and since I only have one BnB figure as of now, I don't want to ruin it right off the bat.

Found wave 2 at TRU today and picked up an Orton. Still has the height problem (using wave 1 parts) and Orton has some serious thunder thighs. So I basically shelled out $7 for a head for my 25A Wetsuit custom :-/

Taller Wrasslers, please!

I bought a couple of Wave 2 guys last Saturday.

They're still crap, bu the heads (Rey Mysterio, and Kane) are excellent. Some other parts may be adaptable too.
