Post subject:  pic req- fn suit bashed on mtf / new ?????
does anyone have a bash of a fn suit bashed with marauder suit figure?

specifically interested in:
FN jacket, arms, waist, legs
MGR torso

but even just the FN jacket on a MGR torso would help me see if i want to go that route.

Just a heads up if you're not aware, the arms don't swap out on MGR torsos, and the torso to hips connection is totally different from the FN figures.

I think I've got a FN jacket, will try to get a shot of it on a MGR dress shirt torso.

i had no idea about MGR arms! i figured they were standard boil/pop out. so if you wanted to add new arms could you "crack" the torso like a modern joe?

You crack it from the bottom. Heat it up and then some split ring pliers.

yeah, what Bucky said. They can be cracked open, but with caution needed, since the two halves need to reform solidly to keep the waist joint intact.

ok i just noticed on ebay a used lot of mtf items with a "dress suit" torso without the jacket. i had no idea the torso wasn't a complete "shirt/detail" under the jacket. that nips what i was wanting to do with my 3rd white shirt black suit figure.

here is the new ?
if i buy the black dress shirt torso and add the lower arms from my black suit and either a mib jacket [or if that won't fit the jacket from my mtf black suit guy] would it look like a black coat over a black shirt?

i want an open jacket jon wick. i was going to just buy the gray dress shirt torso when i thought i could boil/pop the arms. then i thought i could buy the black over gray suit and open it. i don't care if he ends up with black on black or black over gray.

also when i thought i could pop arms/use the shirt and tie without jacket i'd use the white shirt for a different custom. now i'm not sure.

This is what I have on hand, colors aren't what you're looking for but I believe these are the parts you're talking about.

MTF Dress shirt torso with MTF suit lower arms.

Suit jacket is MIB, slit up the side but should have enough give to reseal and fit. If you wanted the open suit look and cut it down the front to remove it from the MIB figure, that should work too. MTF suit legs.

The MTF suit jacket, in my experience is too tight to fit over the dress shirt. The MIB suit jacket fits, but I don't like the look of the over hang on the shoulders.

For me, the best solution way to remove the MTF suit jacket, shave off the tie, and sculpt/etch in the shirt line and some button holes.

thanks! you saved me some heartache! i'm with you on the mib jacket, plus the shirt uppers sag weird at the elbow. so i can either buck up and pay the $12 for the gray shirt black tie suit, or go black shirt no jacket for $6 plus half my other figure.

so i've been hung up on getting the gray shirt black suit for my jon wick. i should have ordered differently, but at the time i was focused on getting suited figures for updated V&J from pulp fiction. so i ended up with 3 white shirt black suit figures. since i thought there was a full shirt/sculpt under the jackets i never considered just painting one. now i feel dumb, but i think painting one of their shirts either black or gray will give me a "unique" enough jon wick and cost nothing extra.
