hi guys, new to the group. I was thinking of making an Arah Harry Warden from My Bloody Valentine, the old Canadian Slasher from '81 I believe. Any ideas for what parts would be good?

thanks! i look forward to seeing what you come up with! i saw the 2009 version first then had to seek out the 81 on dvd. i finally found and bought a copy well into making my customs. i loaned the dvd to someone and that's always a mistake!

Oh yeah the orig is one of my favs. Well if you nvr see that dvd back you should check out the special edition that came out a cpl yrs ago, its the directors cut where they added a few scenes that they had to take out originally for the MPAA, makes it even more gory lol.

Helmet: Tolbooth (modified with a lamp)
Head: Snake Eyes V4 or Sky Creeper (I'd modify the visor into two
Mask: Lifeline airmask
Body: Ripcord V1

I orig thought of tollbooth for the head then remembered it was crooked then thought maybe recoil, I didn't even consider i could cut that helmet off somehow...

you would have to cut it off with a dremel cut off wheel, or the hard way with a hobby saw. the saw sounds safer because it's slower, but the dremels more accurate and easier to keep strait. practice before you tackle the actual piece :)

ok i was thinking it was a dremel task.

there has been several people reporting problems with posting/uploading pics here. even after they reduce the size.

i suggest if you plan on posting lots of pics (i hope you do) go ahead an sign up to a host site. there are many image hosting sites, some free and some pay. i think the pay ones you get more features, but i just use a free one. i have ever since i came here and back to my very first forum-ing. i live way out so had dial up for 10yrs too long! pics plus dial up was a nightmare, so if i "hosted" my pics i could just reuse the links instead of uploading to each forum. i have satellite internet now, so still not much better.

i used to be photobucket, but when they went pay and witheld peoples pics it ticked me off so i bailed. i think it was a small fee, but the way they went about it p'd me off. so servimg was where i went and they have been ok. that being said, don't "store" your pics at the host site incase they crash or something. i try to keep them ,but i have lost many great pics when my device died.
