Ok, I got the floors built in my mech bay. Now I need stairs. Thoughts on that?

Hey Brian --

I made a set of stairs for my Carbon-Freeze Chamber. I took some balsa wood from Michaels, cut notches up the length of the balsa at 45-deg angles, then used popsicle sticks for steps. Yours is a much bigger undertaking, but you might be able to use elements from this in your construction:

Hope that gives you some ideas. With the height of your bay, it might be too much to work - or you could space the steps further apart (mine are actually pretty tight, even for SW figs.) My staircase is about 10inches tall, if that helps.

Hobby Lobby, doll section. $10.99, use a printable 40% off coupon. Doll stores will save you HOURS of work for little cash.

The doll house stairs sound perfect.

Sucks that I dont live anywhere near a Hobby Lobby anymore. May have to see what I can find online tho.

Plastistruct has some 1/16 scale staris. http://www.plastruct.com/Pages/OnlineCatalogIndex.lasso
That is what I used for my Arbco dreadnok hideout.

I have been thinking about stairs for my Dreadnok roadhouse and have gotten some of the bulk things of popsicle sticks from AC Moore in different sizes.

I figure the roadhouse is a converted factory/assembly line type building, so there is a lot of metal staircases. I will use the bigger sticks for the stairs and the little one for railings and balcony railings.
