Have a WIP of an 80's sitcom robot, suddenly want to expand it to a subteam. Trying to come up with some ideas for characters. Criteria: -Preferably "good" guys or neutrals. -SET on the 1980's Earth. Robot must have been depicted as existing in the 1980's WITHOUT time travel (no Terminators). I can't think of any, but robots from media created PRIOR to the 1980's but SET in that decade are fine. -I'll consider some alien robots (Batteries Not Included) that meet the previous criteria. (No Battlestar 1980 Cylons, pretty sure most of the notable Dr. Who ones are also ruled out). -Human Appearance a plus, based on who I'm started with, but not a hard rule (yet). Here's who I'm thinking so far: VICKI - Small Wonder CHIP - Not Quite Human DARYL - DARYL JONNY 5 - SHORT CIRCUIT FIXITS? - BATTERIES NOT INCLUDED I'm looking through some lists online but want to see which ones people actually remember and think might make good members for this troop. |

OB got the obvious one I was blanking on with Johnny 5. I thought of it at work today, but he beat me to it. Does Irona from the '80's Richie Rich cartoon count, or are you wanting strictly live-action? I can't think of any sitcom robots beyond the ones you mentioned, but what about: Zax from Benji, Zax, and the Alien Prince Control from Hard Time on Planet Earth Roboz from Riptide (the only reason I watched that show!) |

Roboz from Riptide has been a WIP on my workbench for a while now. Curious how you'd do him. Conky from Pee Wee's Playhouse, I keep flip floping whether to make one in 4" scale or just get the 5" figure. Even if you don't count "Mandroid" The Eliminators did feature a small flying robot. I don't remember if it actually had a name. Always reminded me of Widget from Marvel's Excalibur.
