I tend to share my hobbies with my coworkers and I tell them I am amazed at how talented people are on here and how they take everyday household items and repurpose them for custom projects.

One of my crew was filling the soda cooler and set this tray on the table, then asked me what the guys on the board could make out of this:

With the individual sections along the edges, my first thought was some sort of heavy transport vehicle, maybe like a hovercraft or LST. The vertical pieces could be where horizontal spars for a fabric covering could attach, like the APC cover.

My second thought was a barge or floating drydock to repair any sea going vessels.

Any ideas?

I wanna be able to go back to work and give them a bunch of options of what could be done with it.

That was my firs thought too. Though with four walls below it, it could be a great tech-castle rampart/parapet castle wall top thingy.

I would turn it upside down and let the patterns of the floor be hover jets, with the sides being landing gear and the front/back being where the intake/blast goes out. that would allow you to build any kind of topside structure on the flat 'top' of it.

DO IT

stood on side as a sci-fi back drop. you could mount things in different places and be modular.

drill holes in those supports for axles/wheels and have a flat top rocket platform/hover jet platform/ rolling thunder.

tuck wheels behind the supports for a more armored looking vehicle- ram mans ride.

supports up -how it sits now- in a dio of ancient alien ruins. or a sci-fi pit. or an underwater sea scape thing.

Personally, I get more of a headquarters vibe from it, Like in a Star Wars Imperial Attack Base kinda way. Or, the top of a castle. Those like ramparts in a way. Castle Destro, maybe

I’m guessing at scale, but assuming the end “doorways” are tall enough for a figure to walk through, that would totally be the frame of a Star ship bridge for me

You could cut the circular sections in the floor out and use them as windows or sewer grates.

OK, I've been thinking about this some more and did some quick measurements.

Exterior dimensions: 4in H x 12-7/16in W x 18-11/16in L

I was picturing putting four Imperial Royal Guards in each corner, with entrances on each width end. The sections between the uprights look like window openings. Could be used as the Emperor's private dining area.

I could also see this a Destro's private dining room, with a heavy wood table, candelabra, centerpieces, silver serving trays, and castle-type chandeliers.

It holds 24-20oz soda bottles, to give you a sense of scale.

All I see is Star Wars. Maybe a detention center where the prisoners are under the grates.

Stained glass from the "floor".
The "teeth" could serve as the bottom part of a gate (drop gate/portcullis)
