hello if this is in the wrong forum im srry. some of you may have played warhammer/40k or any number of other table top wargames. a while ago games workshop put out a game using larger miniatures. called inquisitor. i liked the game but getting the minies is hard. any way it brings me to my point. has anyone ever seen or thought about or used GI joe figures for table top wargames. battles ect...maybe theres some rules already out there that i can just use without having to try and convert find ect.. i might just start making terrain for the fights and have a go at it with rules i already know. anyone else thought of this have any ideas or just think im wasting your time. thnks alot glenn |

My brother and I made up a turn based Joe game back in the 80s. We used a multi sided die to determine every thing from sneaking up on a enemy to silence them to how many troops would be killed from a tank blast. Worked great and we played for years. Unfortunately the rules got lost in a move and we never felt like rewriting them. |

This fellow does: http://chapmeitoys.proboards62.com/inde ... 1187118064 I met him on the Miniatures page forums, asking pretty much the same questions. So I sent him to the chap mei guys, and here. I've been writing my own ruleset for years, 'getting ready to beta test someday. We used to play this set: http://rpg.drivethrustuff.com/product_i ... 17613&it=1 And as a download its pretty cheap. |

I would love to see a Gi Joe style Dungeons and Dragons. It would have endless playability. |

I still have a backburner project to mod the Battlefield evolution wargame as a Joe\Cobra table top war game. Unfortunately, that project hit a stall because of the holidays. |

I am the Chap Mei Guy. Just joined your group - although I have been in this hobby before on a site called bivouc? Any way I am glad you like d the game. All the scenery is just corrigated cardboard painted with house paint using a paint roller. Regards, I am interested in wargaming and figure collecting. I am not a GI Joe only collector. In fact I don't think I have any GI Joes. |

hey its nice to see theres others interested in this sort of thing. i have found a website with some rules on it they seem pretty simple. http://afcqb.netfirms.com/ now if i could ever get ahold of some of the 25th stuff , or even some of the BBI stuff i would start building some terrain. living in germany can really suck sometimes haha. laters |
