I just wanted to mention to those considering customizing the new Walmart Retro Joe vehicles that the HISS I put together seamed to have noticeable spots of what I can only guess is mold release lubricant on it. Supposedly that used to be an issue with old model kits that doesn't happen anymore but I had never seen it on a Joe vehicle. It was pretty apparent in a half dozen very small spots over the vehicle and in a couple of places no finger would touch.
So you might want to wash the vehicles before painting for max adhesion.
And since I'm talking about them I'll add they look great. They are made from good quality of plastic, the stickers are finally good (second only to Rattler Repros) and the boxes are made of super thick cardboard - everything about them just feels top shelf and finely tuned (the only exception is the file card and blueprints are now strictly utilitarian and offer no flavor, which I can say is one thing that drew me in as a kid was reading the file cards and looking at the blueprints that were more fleshed out)
