I'm working on a Halo 3 Warthog custom and Im trying to make it close to accurate as possible using vehicle parts from Joe Vehicles. While this is one of my most ambitious vehicle customs to date I'm problems deciding on some parts. Alot of the molding and detail work will be done after I get the basic body design done but I'm having problems deciding what kind of tire to go with for this custom. Also If anyone has suggestions for something I could use for a windshield and machine gun please feel free to post them. So far the only things I can think of are using a 2 litre soda pop bottle bottle cut and bent to the windshield shape and using one of the mini guns off the newest Piranha Boat that came with the Shipwreck figure. Also for the tires if you can think of something better please feel free to mention it. Ive already spent a considerable amount of money on parts for this vehicle so spending a few more dollars for the right parts isnt really and issue. Posted are pics of the warthog, the tires I have at the moment and a few WIP pics so you can get a feel for what Ive done so far. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

For the gun I'd suggest going with one of the BTR guns from the helicopter as its a three tiered gun like the Warthog has but no idea on the wheels and gun shield.

The VvV Piranha would give you the best gun for the Warthog. As for the windshield, maybe a HISS 2, a Star Wars Imperial Shuttle, Destro's Dominator, or a Snow Cat. None of them will be 100% accurate. If you want that curved single piece you'll have to go with the bottle idea.

This is a great project. I've been wanting a 1:18th Warthog for my Spartans for some time now- but finding the right parts is a major issue. I'll be looking forward to seeing how yours turns out.

I thought I would post a few more WIP pics I too along the way. So far Ive got a good 20 hours into this project. The pics are in order that I took them so you can see the progress made. Ive also been toying around with some of the details so you can get a feel for what I have planned. The last pic is just what I got finished tonight. Emjoy

Why can't you guys work for the big toy companies, so you can give us what we want ??? This project is turning out awesomely well, keep up the great work and i can't wait to see the final product.

As for the gun turrent, there was a ship from halo that had a turrent on the back of it and i think that it would work well, the ship was red colored, hope that helps.
