Any advice on using green stuff/epoxy clay for helmets? It won't strip the paint off of the figure head I am putting underneath it.

I am planning on doing a rocketeer type character for Neptune(Dragonfly jet pack troopers...I know I've desecrated the Joe canon...Oh well)

So any advice on sculpting for weapons? How long does the epoxy resin take to cure and will the helmet easily break later down the line?

Subject,
Green Stuff takes about 4 house to completely set up (but I'm at a high altitude so it might be more for you). The Green stuff won't strip the paint, but once it's set up it won't ever be coming off so just keep that in mind. Go down to hobby lobby and buy your self a real basic sculpting tool kit for the actual detail work.

Oh...I am sculpting the helmet separately from the figure...
