Which of these has the best hold, color, and look? Sharpie markers??? Acrylic?? Emamel??? |

"Mithril Silver" from Games Workshop is pretty much dead on for any silver painted Joe. But I can confirm that "Shining Gold" is way off. Too much bronze in it. These are acrylic (I think...) and chip easely. Coat it with something and it will hold. |

I have used copious amounts of Tamiya silver and gold, and have never had a complaint with either. They are a bit fume-tastic, though, so make sure you have ventilation. |

Just as Soulgem said, MIrthril Silver is dead on. Unlike other silver paints from other brands, Citadel Mithril Silver doesn't have the glittery specks... just solid silver. I can't say the same for their golds though. I have Burnished Gold but it's too bright and it has the glittery specks. - JM |
