For many customizers, a lot of us make custom colored paint for our figrues and vehicles, but most of the time, the paint mixtures you try to preserve become dried and unusable. Here's on way to save the customs paint. Like always, - you'll need a jar, large or small, to hold the paint depending on how much you want to use. - the cover or lid for the jar (Duh!) And the secret ingredient many of you guys overlooked: - Plumber's Tape =- - You'll need this wrapped around the part of the jar where the lid twists close. It keeps the contents inside of the jar contained without drying out. This is the same technique used to put together water pipes and keep the water from dripping. Let's hope this helps preserve the custom paint for future uses. Good Luck. |

You should get with Moto-Viper to have this added to the wiki. I have a couple of Games Workshop empty contianers I use when working on a custom that requires a lot of custom paint. Paint matching is hard enough once, let alone trying to match it several times if you have to break up the project over several days. I also find adding just a little water helps it keep a little longer especially during the hotter months. |
