No, not a custom figure of Lance! Here's the scenario: My friend, who knows I'm big into Joe, snags me a Defiant at a garage sale for $10. But, there's damage to every conceivable piece – I mean, every piece. Shuttle doors busted, no fins, yadda yadda. I'm gonna sell the pieces, but that leaves the massive shell I will never be able to complete. Then, it hit me: what if I cut this massive thing up with a dremel, jumble the rooms/walls etc around and make a G.I. Joe HQ playset out of actual Defiant chunks? Is it just complete sacrilege to hack up a whole defiant to make a Joe base thats a custom? LMK your thoughts... |

Toys are meant to be played with. I say chop the bastard up and have some fun with it. |

Sounds like the perfect use for a $10 defiant. There's a lot of stress in projects like that because you don't get second chances. Figure out what you're going to do before you plug in your dremmel. There's no shame in doing work like that. It could be that you come up with the next Stuntmatty Battleship. - R |

And if you find a bomb with the Cobra logo on it, let us know where it's at. Heck, cut it out and I'll pay ya for it! |

There's supposed to be one? All I found was the SNAKE, Tripwire bombs and a modded AWE engine plus a Snowcat engine cover... |

If you just take off the elevating ramp part, you've got a pretty good foundation as is, with little actual need for modification. You could concievably just add some stuff to what's left. Or just tear that mother apart. It's not often that you get a chance to customize with such [LASER BLAST]' parts without feeling like you threw an ass load of money into 'craft supplies'. And yes, you also have a unique oportunity to really scour the mold for all the hidden 'easter eggs' that they used in the design. We spent a good amount of time going over the Defiant just trying to place all of the detail they used. It's funner than it sounds. |

Post some pictures as you go, if that's possible. Most people won't get the same chance to do this, and will want to live vicariously. |

Hmm. OK. I gotta sell the parts I can to raise some dough cause I am jobless. Maybe if I snag a job I can get down to working on this thing. |

You talking about hacking up the Defiant, or the whole Defiant Launch Complex? I can't see getting a whole lot of good stuff out of just the Defiant. The Booster tho, hells yeah. |

Booster and parts will be sold, this would be just the ground support stuff. I have a shuttle shell I'm willing to mail to someone, but its literally a shell. The bottom and top parts with the insert, which is damaged. I had a killer idea for a "Defiant shuttle crash scene" dio using a heat gun and some paint... damn it'd be cool. |
