Hey everyone. Can anyone give me any advice on how to remove the white SWAT logos from this bbi hummer? I've tried Goo Gone and paint thinner so far and no luck. Any suggestions are very much appreciated.

Of course I know if I can't get anything to work I could just paint over them. :whistling:

acetone would probably work... but last time i used that stuff, it started to eat at the plastic... but if u do wanna try it... try it on a unseen area, such as the bottom of the vehicle.

i tried using it to get the cobra logo of the chest of a python officer...

it came off but started to eat the plastic... a diluted version might of worked better.

hmmm surprized goo gone did't do it with letting it soak and a lil scrubbing.. i say just paint over it then.

sometimes goo gone doesn't work immidiatly, ya gotta let it soakand scrub w a terry cloth.

Anything you use, is also going to take off the base color. Despite being molded in black plastic, that whole thing is also painted black. I used the exact same Hummer, for my monster hunter team. I just sanded all the markings with coarse sandpaper, untill they were no longer thick enough to show under paint, then I sanded the whole thing with medium grit, to give it a little "tooth" for the paint to bite. I primered, before I painted, but that was only because I was using a light color.

Thanks for clearing that up Greyryder, I was hoping to remove the logos without damaging the original black paint job beneanth them but I found out that's not gonna happen. I tried fingernail polish remover (includes acetone) yesterday which worked- but it went very slowly and started to eat the plastic a little bit too so I just gave up on it.

I ended up just sanding the logos off. I decided to paint the whole vehicle a different color so it won't matter now what it looks like underneath.
