As others have stated before, if you were to write out a little bit more information instead of a one sentence statement, you might get more responses and the actual answers you seek.

Otherwise you'll just get a "yes" to everything.

How about listing the characters?

Offer possible recipes?

And for Pete's sake, if you're trying to be funny it doesn't always come across that way. Just sayin'...

what are you talking about dude? I'm talking about the movie Tropic Thunder, if you've seen it, the post is pretty self explanatory, and no i'm not trying to be funny, i'm asking a fairly simple question, if anyone's thought about customizing the characters from the movie.

Any way davidjake you give more you get more. Simply saying the title of the movie as the topic then asking a one line question isn't going to generate a lively conversation. You should be aware of that by now.

So what people are you looking to see customs of? The generic hollywood soldier stereotypes? Or the actors playing those stereotypes?

But in all serious there are plenty of folks on this board and the rest of the web that consider dropping that name in such a manner is cursing and quite offensive you might want to edit that bit out.

There is a thread about the movie where we discussed making customs and wondering why there were no action figures being made.

Unless you are phonetically saying JoeCustoms, there is no way to use those two words without it sounding like a curse.

When I referred to you trying to be funny, I was taking in all of your recent posts.

For the record, I have not seen the movie, but I am aware of the actors involved.
The point I am trying to make is that when you post the very simple title and question, it appears like you really don't know what you are talking about-at least that your are not that informed about it.

Maybe if you had stated: "Hey, Guys. I saw Tropic Thunder recently and I'd like to see some customs based on the characters. Does anybody else who has seen the movie have any ideas how to make these or what heads might work?" then you are communicating and it sounds a whole lot better than mumbling a mono-syllic sentence.

If you don't care to discuss the subject, then why should anyone take the time to respond to you.

i love custom joes and i think most of you guys are amazing artists, and i'm not just saying that. But i've had some head scratchers for responses lately.

No one is judging you except for the JC comment. We're trying to give you criticism to help you make better posts just like giving criticism in the Critiques section helps people make better customs the next time around. NOT EVERYONE has seen the movie (like me) and those that have might not have any good ideas on who to get to help make characters of these guys. As I've seen posted in a LOT of personal ads on the internet, a one line response (or thread in this matter) won't get you a lot of answers. Ask people who or what parts they think would make a good Jack Black custom, or Downey Jr custom, or so on. Just saying won't get you a lot of answers besides yes or no or who the _____ are you talking about?
Think about what you are posting and make it more than a one line post. Like dan said above you need to EDIT your JC comment out cause your using it as a curse word which I personally do take offense to and a few others I know on here would as well.

I figured if someone had seen it and was thinking about they'd say as much, i don't need to lead them along like schoolchildren, they probably aren't posting cuz they're already was a post about it i was unaware about, so why don't you worry about your own posting i'll take care of mine, i don't need advice on how to post for Christ sake.

As for saying Jesus Christ, i am a born again Christian and if you knew your Bible you'd know that Jesus rebuked the ten commandments, saying to 'hate thy father(and his laws),' to become a true follower of him. We are all sinners and until any of you clowns start walking on water, spare me the judgements, and if you don't like my threads stay out of them.
