Hey man, thanks for the heads up. If you've seen my darker than dark photo posts, you'll know I need this. Actually - just ordered it. Even if it sucks, it's a low risk gamble for that price. And it has to do better than my 40w desk lamp, right? Right?

I was thinking about ordering this, and an extra for the same reason :)

I will definitely let you guys know how well it works, and will post the results. I hope to have it next week, based on the estimated time from Amazon. I'd have grabbed a 2nd one also to send up Canada way, but if it sucked, I didn't want to be on the hook for more than the one, even at this price.

I ordered one as well. Looks to be perfect for my basement set up. And by perfect I mean PERFECT.

Good price. Sorry I didn't see your post until after my order went through Raps, but hopefully one of these other guys can hook you up... I'm suprised that Amazon won't ship to Canada...

Thanks for the heads up JM!

I actually use this item at work. We bought the large box (2 1/2' x 2 1/2') and the smaller one. They work really well for this.

Got mine in the mail already today, but haven't had the chance to play yet tonight. It looks like a pretty solid set-up though, and I'll hopefully get the chance to try it out by the weekend. I'll post my test shots. It really looks a good, set-up wise, as any of the $50-$80 sets I see online. But the proof's in the pictures, so I'll keep you posted.

i am a huge fan of the even lighting... and my flash seemed to fill in the gaps, as well as negate the reflection i was seeing with my naked eye.

//i said naked.
