I got a minty Heli Viper in a big lot of random joe goodness, but no rifle. So I drilled some holes in an MP5.
Not bad, but I think it would look better with a longer gun.

Any recomendations on another rifle or gun?

I like the MP-5. Makes more sense for airborne insertion/quick strike operations that I see the Heli-Viper as performing.

Very east to do, took my smallest drill bit (I can get the size if anybody wants it) and used a Night viper gun as a template.

I wonder what Marauder gun would be a nice replacment for my night vipers?

Really good idea. Although there are more in pegs on figures than out pegs, this does open a lot of avenues for replacement weapons on pegged figures, like the Crimson Guard Immortal.

My suggestion would be the H&K Mp7 with some "slight" modifications (since you're already drilling holes in the side of the weapon, a few more changes won't hurt). "Clip" the front grip off and glue it in the "closed" folded position. Add a R-D Reflex site to the top of the weapon (or the larger "night vision" scope...ALL Marauder "modular" optics work on the MP7) and "clip" the ammo clip extention off the bottom of the clip (turn the 30 round clip into a 15 round clip). Compact (small enough to look good mounted on the thigh), powerful (good stopping power) and modern weapon (the "newest" H&K MP weapon released)...NOW this is cool! Also, a silencer/flash suppressor can be attached to the weapon (silencer would make the weapon a little too long when mounted on the thigh, but could be 'attached" when the weapon is in use).
