so, i've been researching how to restore a pinball machine, and came across the idea of using a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser or MF to clean stubborn/grooved areas -- and i ran across this quote, "MF is similar to using a 2000 grit sandpaper. "

2000 Grit Sandpaper!
8-O

I will be trying this stuff out on my joes for sure!

That should easily buff out paint swirls, or clean vehicles, or take fingerprints out of greenstuff without leaving new marks!

//i'll let you know how it turns out -- i have some magic erasers at home...

Now that sounds interesting. I will be interested to see pics of how it works.

I've used it for actual cleaning of counter tops and it really does a good job. I'm sure it would be great for removing surface paint from things like clonetroopers and the like.

How do they even make it? Seriously, that's like nano particle sized...

Magic eraser is not useful on joes - for anything I've tried it on anyway.

On walls though - the stuff is the bomb. Saved me repainting several walls before I moved...

I'm interested in the results as well. No matter what I do, watered down rubbing or sanding, I cannot smooth out greenstuff.

Even 12000 grit...

Micro Mesh ideal for sanding plastics and stabilized materials. Lasting up to 15 times longer than traditional abrasives, Micro Mesh is available from 1,500 to 12,000 grit. The 1,500 is a little coarser than 600 grit sandpaper. The 12,000 is fine enough that the scratch pattern cannot be seen by the eye. Satin finishes are achieved at the 3,600 grade through the 6,000 step. Wet sanding is recommended possible for maximum abrasive life and optimum results. Kits include foam sanding block and instructions. Sheets are 3" x 6".

The basic kit includes 2 of each grit: 1500, 1800, 2400, 3200 and 3600, one special foam sanding block and instructions.
The Super Finishing Kit includes 2 of each grit: 4000, 6000, 8000, 12000, one special foam sanding block and instructions.
Foam Block is made with Flexible Foam- 1" x 2" x 3"

Wouldn't computer paper be rougher than that?
