quick rit dye question

the guide says 1/2 water to 1/2 dye. I've done 3/4 water to 1/4 dye and its worked.

Thanks guys, you have been a lot of help. Not being able to dye light on dark has caused a lot more time and money, but if the result of what I am trying to do works right it will be well worth it.
