I think I asked this before but no one had a definitive answer.
I am looking at this auction...
http://cgi.ebay.com/SLU-Football-1998-R ... 0067759847
since the seller has a few other items I was interested in I thought I could use the helmet for my Fridge. :fridge:
Should I bother? Does anyone know if it fits?
Plus Are the footballs seperate, glued, or molded on these figures?

I'm pretty sure that the SLU figures were in the 5" scale, so the helmet will be too big.

Any chance of tracking down a Captain Gridiron helmet and modding that?

Also, the football is probably a sculpted part of the figure. They were like that on the basketball SLUs, anyway.

They were 5in scale, but I know I used an SLU helmet with my Joes when I was a kid. It's was Dr. Mindbender's mind control helmet. It fit pretty well, but Mindbender has a big 'ol noggin. For a helmet and a football, check out Wal-Mart. they have sports figures in with the hot wheels and stuff. They're probably 5 inches, but they have tiny heads.

Saw those the other night, but couldn't remember for sure what scale they were in. I remember they caught my eye because they were closer to Joe size than, say, a Marvel Legends figure, and might make for good fodder.

You could always use 'em for taller Joe characters. ;-)

Ya I saw those figures but there weren't any Chicago Bears on the roster and I suck at painting logos. :(
All the new baseball figures only seem to have the batting helmets in Red Sox colors.
Then this baseball cap could be usefull in any custom Cutters :cutter: ...
