To deny yourself the creative pleasure in turning the pieces into something new, would be painful.

I am three minutes away from turning three AOME Saruman's chamber sets into one Babylon 5 Shadow vessel. So you know how I feel about sacrificing for the sake of creative expression.

But with all due respect Cap, you're awesome, and I'm overly caffeinated with a few cutting wheels. :) But it may be worth it to dream big...

Booster and parts will be sold, this would be just the ground support stuff.

I have a shuttle shell I'm willing to mail to someone, but its literally a shell. The bottom and top parts with the insert, which is damaged.

I had a killer idea for a "Defiant shuttle crash scene" dio using a heat gun and some paint...

damn it'd be cool.

Am I the only one picturing you with goggles, dremel goin at high speed, plastic chunks flying, all the while laughing like a maniac?

It may be close to the truth, but IMHO you are seond only to Cap in your dio making abilities. I have the fortune of being able to have seen your work in person. It's your laziness in posting pics that doesn't let people in on your genius, MM. You have an eye for detail that is stunning and your little "in" jokes are clever as well.

Make it, post it, and let these people know who you are, brother.

Having lost my (adolescent) interest in Joe when they hit the "space" lines, I've got no qualms suggesting you mod the Defiant. Actually, I find the complex much cooler than the shuttle. At least you're piecing out what you can. I remember seeing some picts on JoeDios of a Terror Drome on fire and all I could think of was: "Noooo, I need those pieces...." (cool picts, though). But a $10 shattered Defiant is no big loss, even if your custom doesn't work out. My guess: you'll be liberated as you take the project on. I mean, who gets to cut up one of the Joe Holy Grails every day?
