I have 2 of these Chap Mei Heavy Patrol Boats and one is staying stock (with a few tweaks) for the Joes. The second I want to paint up for Cobra as a launching platform for all my 25th Eels and Cobra Divers I have coming. I'm thinking of a couple color schemes but I can't decide which to do.

1) Cobra Blue w/ stock gray deck (Cobra blue scheme) - in this scheme I would paint the hull Cobra Blue to match the smaller patrol boat in the pics in the above link. This would keep my Cobra fleet of vehicles uniform which is what I like in my enemy forces (the Joes get all the crazy colors and stuff in my verse) - this one will be easiest as I only have to paint one section and buy one color paint.

2) Gray Hull w/ Maroon Deck (Moray scheme) - this would be a match of the Cobra Moray which was something I had as a kid but don't have now. I also like that the maroon and gray would match the Eels who will be deployed from it. And I can get some decent repro stickers to really match the Moray. - this one will be harder because I'd have to get 2 colors of paint and mask off areas of the deck.

3) Maroon Hull w/ stock gray deck (Reverse Moray) - this one would be for the same reasons as choice #2 only in reverse. This would make it a nice companion piece to the Moray (which I may get in the future) without looking like a cheap knock-off. - like choice #1, only 1 paint color and 1 part to paint

4) YOUR ideas - please post your ideas if you don't mind sharing.

I probably won't get to this for at least a week, maybe more so I'll leave the poll up for a while and close it when I get ready to pull the trigger.

I liked the Moray idea but was more keen on how it would look with either a Moccasin paint scheme or even the Battle Barge colors (black and dark red iirc).

I thought about the Moccassin scheme but since we're getting one in a few months didn't want to repeat it. But the battle barge idea is interesting. I'll have to look into that one.

I'd go Cobra blue for the deck and black for the lower shell with silver weapons.

The color scheme of the '84 Water Moccasin gets my vote.
