I am in the process of hollowing out a Big Bear Ushanka hat to use on another custom.

I am wondering if there is an easier way to do this, which got me wondering about the possibility of someone here making casts of it?

Also I am looking for some ideas on how to do removable Russian tanker helmets. I have thought about somehow doing a non-removable one on a couple of the characters, but it would be trial and error since I haven't done this sort of thing. Most of the reference pics I have seen show the various troops wearng them unbuckled in a casusal manner, with the ear flaps loose.

I really wish bbi or one of the other companies would get off their collective butts and make some decent 1/18th Russian soldiers. It seems it's either modern US military, VietNam movie, German WWII, or US military WWII figures. Let's see a Vasily Zaitsev-like Stalingrad sniper for example. There were female Russian pilots, snipers, etc. Let's see some Russians!

Let's see some figures

If your good with sculpting the helmet that came with DtC Barrel Roll would be a good base for the tanker helmet.

As far as the other hat don't know I try to stay away from hollowing out stuff. I do know if you want to try to cast it yourself squish mold will be a real easy way to go.

Already looking to get an extra one for my female cosmonaut. I have a ARAH comic pack Flash body set aside to use. I just need to figure out the neck section.

Hmmm, maybe Spectre has an extra one...

Spectre, or the voice, as he is known in the minds of this cult members, has lots of stuff.

As far as the neck section, what are you on about?

you can either attach padme's head to flash's neck post or sculpt a new one, I think chopping flash's head would be acceptable, :)
