Just cut the blister off, it will leave a plastic ring, but that looks better than a "tear" ring.

not exactly a blister ring tear but what I do is take my exacto blade and carefully slide it all along the contour of the bubble just a tad higher than where it meets the card.

What this does is it keeps a thin piece of blister still attached to the card so the artwork is completely undamaged. Only draw back is that the cards will not lay flat if you stack them because of the blister ring remaining.

I've heard people talk about blow driers used to melt the glue so that it just pops off, but I've never seen it documented and wouldn't take the risk of damaging the carding due to extreme heat.

Blow drying no longer works. Since 2000, the glue and the system Hasbro uses to attach blister cards like these have improved.

When it DID work, you'd still get the odd minor rip. Just slice the bubble off - above the flat surface of the portion that is glued to the card. you really won't notice it much

adversely to the blow dryer, I wonder if a freezer would work. I've heard that you can un-seal envelopes this way. I may try it, but I highly doubt it will work because the glues are different on envelopes and packaging.

That, and the chances for moisture on the cardstock is high.
