Raridan, the team leader:
Image

He's made from a two-pack Duke, with Green Stuff, and a Marauder M14. I decided last night to give him a less bulky holster, sized to fit one of marauder's pistols. I plan to replace that gun with one modified from Marauder's SOPMOD M14, as soon as it's released.

Jay'cyn, the team sniper:

Scarlett head body and shoulders, with two pack siegie limbs. I used some brass rod as pins, to help reinforce where Scarlett's shoulders go into the CG arms. I also swelled her hips out a bit, to better match the CG thighs. .50cal sniper rifle, UMP rifle (untill the SCAR-H is released) and PTE spotter's scope, all from Marauder.

Toby, team machine gunner:

Made from a two pack Torch, with the Fred head from the siegie that gave his limbs to Jaycyn. Uses an M60E3, but switches to an XM8 for close quarter combat. Always carries his trusty old rusted machete. Guns and machete are all from Marauder, as are the extra XM8 magazines, and fragmentation grenades that I've added to his left leg, since I've taken these pictures. Machete scabbard is made from brown vinyl I bought at the local Jo Ann's.

Thanks guys. :)

I've already got an Abomination from the new Hulk movie line that I've started making a little more intimidating looking. Once I've got my characters and their stuff finished, I want to pick up some of those cheap Joe clones that wal-mart sells, to use as monster fodder.

I like these. Good color choices and modifications to the parts. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the use of SCarlett's head without any hair color change. It ends up looking like Scarlett in a different unifrom. If you really want that to be a totally new character you need to change the head or change the hair color.

The character's already a red head, and I don't have any paint that's closer to her hair color than what Hasbro already painted it. She also keeps it drawn back in a long ponytail, like Scarlett does. I like the look of the Scarlett head, and it's so close to the way I draw the character in my comic, I just decided to keep that head. The only change that really needs to be made, is the gemstone that supposed to be set into this character's forehead. The only other thing I could do, would be to add her magically mutated long pointy ears.

I love the concept of these characters, and the customs are great. Looking forward to more! :-D

They look great, very simple yet effective. If you want to make the female character look not so much like Scarlett, try going for a more realistic red hair. Almost no one's hair is that uniform, screaming red-orange anyway. The best way I've found is to paint the hair a medium brown and then go over that with transparent red paint (Tamiya makes a good one, I think there's a Model Masters version, too). Also little accents (repainting the eyes using the black-->white--->black--->color---black method, adding lip pigment, changing eyebrows a bit) can make a big difference.

I might look into a good color to drybrush onto her hair, to give it some lighter streaks. I haven't done any work on any of them, in a couple of days. Spent most of tonight modifying Spirit's gun, so that he can hold it properly.

Thanks everyone, for the comments and ideas.

Dang fine indeed. You "Green Stuff" users and your mysterious ways. Now another shove to buy a packet of green stuff, and a 25th figure.

My sculpting tools are winking and showing leg like a '50's cab stopper.

Raridan...genious.

These are pretty sweet figures, but they got me thinking, it might not be so hard to make civilian or joes in civilan gear with the new 25th.

Far out, now where are their monsters?

The monsters will be made, once I have all these guys finished. I think the CORPS figures should make good cheap bases for them.

Got a couple of updates, on these.

Jay'cyn's Sterling is now sling mounted.
Image

Toby is finished. I finally got everything painted on him. Got his new holster in place, and replaced his hands with hands from a Cobra Trooper. Did a bit of work on his guns, too.
Image
Image

There's more pictures, and a short bio for him, on his page.

I totally forgot to take any pictures of the first monster.
Image

That's better.

Very cool update, i think it's kinda odd to have a hammerhead shark eyes on Abomination, but it's your custom, i do like the claws you gave him.
