Divers and Snow Joes. My two favorite G.I. Joe specialties that I can't have enough of in my verse. The ARAH v.1 version of Wet-suit got a LOT of play during my childhood so I had to have a version in the new 25th style. I'm sure we'll see one eventually but I couldn't wait so I made one myself. All of my divers have black as their main wetsuit color with the center trim being their special color (Torpedo is light gray, Depth Charge is blue, Guardian is orange) so while this isn't a direct interpretation of the ARAH figures colors I did try to capture the special parts of his uniform, short sleeves, knee-high boots, shark emblem on his chest. I'm very happy with how he came out and I'm probably going to make a "dry" version similiar to what I did with Torpedo.

Head, lower legs: 25th comic pack Crimson Guard
Torso, upper legs, swim fins, knife, airtank: 25th Torpedo
Upper arms: 25th Snake-eyes
Lower arms: 25th Tiger Force Flint
Hands, webgear: 25th Cobra Trooper
SOCOM pistol, modified M-4: Marauder Inc
Dive mask: JvC Wet-suit

One of only two joes from right here in South Carolina (Sgt. Slaughter is the other)

My favorite joe by default of where he hails from, and you did me and Wet Suit proud.
Awesome update of the character!

You hit him dead on did you try the JvC head?

Yeah I was down with WetSuit for the same reason.

I have the JvC head on a JvC custom and it honestly doesn't look quite right for this figure to me. I think the Fred head works well. The facial expression, the slicked down hair, it all just works for me. Luckily I have an extra to use for his dry version (which is parted out and waiting for paint).

Glad you guys approve. He's definitely one of my faves and I'm glad he came out so well. Just need to touch up the paint rubs on his elbows (thought I had that licked but apparently not)

Looking good ,that is a solid custom. I like the fact too that you didn't just use a Torepedo body but instead gave him boots along the lines of the original figure.

Love it. The head works great and so do the part choices. I love the similarity between him and Torpedo, and the subtle differences make this figure.

I really didn't think I'd like Wet Suit without Orange and Teal, but he looks excellent.

He looks great. I'm in the middle of a Wet Suit right now and I am definitely stealing that arm idea. The web gear looks perfect too. It fits like a glove.

You know, I recently picked up a spare Torpedo with an eye toward doing a Wet Suit but I wasn't sure how to do it without the orange (which I always detested).

I think this is the direction I'll head, though I'm thinking that center gray will be teal on mine.

Thanks for the inspiration. Really nice work.

Thanks guys! I'm glad you like him. I considered the teal as well for the center panels but it just wouldn't work in my more realistic Joeverse. If I do another one I'll definitely be doing the classic color scheme, teal suit and oranger sherbert helmet and all.

One thing I noticed when swapping out the upper arms is that the sockets inside Torpedo's chest are set at an angle and not straight across like the other figures. The shoulder pegs go in and up towards the neck rather than in towards the "heart". Doesn't affect articulation or anything, just a neat little design feature I discovered.

Spin I'm especially curious to see how yours comes out. The SE arms are a little loose in the shoulder sockets so you'll have to tighten them up with some superglue or something to avoid "windmill arm" as I call it.

very nice MS, I like everything about him. The fred head is great for wetsuit and using the harness you did and giving him the cg boots is icing on the cake rather than using the torpedo lower legs, well done and the perfect recipe to borrow from,
Tim

Hmmm I wonder if Viper lower legs would have worked better? Those seem close to the original Wet-Suit's shins.

Great job MS, Wet-suit was always under used in the cartoons and never got the props he deserved in the toy line either. I'ld buy that one in a hart beat. Now I'm gonna have to add that to my list of customs to do.
