This is my second crack at Recondo and my first at Big Brawler's daddy.

For the former, I stayed pretty faithful to his original design but incorporated a feature I always wanted the figure to have, ever since I first saw Romancing the Stone - the back-slung shotgun.

And for big red, I stuck as close to the original as possible. The only variation was an exclamation point at the end of "SURVIVAL!" on his t-shirt. I figured Stu probably felt pretty strongly about the idea.

That Recondo is phenominal. An original take, while still unmistakably the same character. I love your work on almost all the figs, but this one really stands out. What is the parts list though? Is that an Indy torso? Which head? Must know....

Looks good I like Outback the most and I like the shotgun on Recondo's back. I remember that was something about Romancing the Stone that I thought was pretty cool back in the day.

Sweet work on both. Though I'm kinda partial to the V1 Outback head . . .

they both look great,

two of my favorite characters who certainly deserve the 25th treatment.

Very nice take on both. Do you have in wip pics of the Recondo torso mod?

I agree the above...

They are all round awesome... very cleanly constructed too, and I love the shot gun pouch on the back, its cool when figures can hoslter all their weapons they come with.

Well done.

good customs, just keep references to flute-related metal bands associated with Brawler ;)

thoughts.. both are great.Outback is pure perfect and recondo I still haven't tried cuz I don't think I'd do to good on him but you hit him just right. Isn't the head the barrel roll with the 5 o clock shadow.

I loved that movie.

Glad you guys are all digging these. They were both a bit of work.

Here's the parts lists:

Recondo
Head: BTR Barrel Roll
Upper torso, arms and gunbelt: RPG Indy
Lower torso and legs: 25th Duke
Hat: Crosshairs
Shotgun sheath and shotgun: Army of Darkness Ash
Machete: Mauraduer

Outback
Head: Combination BTR Hollow Point and Hi-Tech
Torso, belt and feet: 25th Roadblock
Arms: 25th comic pack Shipwreck
Legs: 25th Duke
Hands: 25th Crank Case
Backpack: 25th Red Star
Harness: 25th Arctic Snake Eyes
Rifle: Maurauder

Unfortunately I don't have WIP pics of Recondo's torso. Suffice to say it was a bear to adapt, but I really didn't want to just use another Duke torso for him.

And Outback's torso was a lot of work as well. The white paint really didn't want to take on that grayish t-shirt plastic. And the flesh color is still a little off on the neck (think I found a fix for that today).

Thanks for taking the time to look and to comment.

Recodno is a solid custom. I too like the added shotgun on the back. I like the head choice but if it were me I would have changed Barrol Rolls stylish doo.

Outback I flat out love. This is the version I want Hasbro to make for the 25th line. It pays homeage to the original but makes enough changes to update him.
