Been working on this on-and-off for a few months.
Custom Jhiaxus (main antagonist from the Transformers: Generation 2 comics) made from a SWTF Emperor Palpitatingovaltine.

Pretty simple repaint job. Palpitatingovaltine here matched Jhiaxus well in robot mode, right down to proportions true to Yaniger and Galan's art.
I kept as much of the gunmetal color as I could to balance out the brighter colors. He still looks a bit festive, but that's the G2 crew's fault and not mine.

For more info on the character:

That's awesome, Jay. And a figure can actually fit inside the cockpit, no?

Yeah, all the Star Wars Transformers have working cockpits that can seat a figure of the character the mech represents.

I find it hurts the toy more than aids it, because it requires the entire cockpit area to essentially be free of any transformation engineering. It hurts a lot of toys' designs but fortunately it's not too bad on Palpitatingovaltine here.

From someone who actually followed the G2 comics at the time Jhiaxus was around I say this to you:

Rock on, sir. Rock ON.

No joke, out of the numerous comments I've gotten on the handful of forums I posted this on... this is the best one ever.

Thank you.

Great take. Back in my TF collecting days, I tried searching for bots that would make J. No luck. Great take on a really cool, under-the-radar character. Any thoughts on making an Orion Pax or Elita-One?

Not really. What I'm juggling around right now are Classics-style custom of a few characters who haven't gotten their due, like Bludgeon, Soundwave (with a modern altmode, not just a Music Label toy) and somehow bringing my fancharacter Detour into toy form, which is easier said than done when you're a perfectionist like me (took me a year to find all the perfect pieces for my GIJoe Hiryu custom).
