Not an actual figure custom, but an artifact that fits in nicely with the Indiana Jones figure range.

The Shroud of Turn would be stupid-cool to get as a real cloth item, but I highly doubt Hasbro would have the balls to do that.

Thanks for the inspiration. I tried doing one using some fine cotton and inkjet t-shirt transfer paper. Came out too glossy. The stuff I was using is more of a plastic film than the older type of paper. So I ordered a couple of sheets of inkjet printable cotton. Found a really nice pic of the shroud and resized it to 1:18 scale.

The inkjet cotton arrived this morning. There is no time like the present, so it went straight into the printer. This is the result:

Prints out really nice on that medium, and the cotton itself is nice and soft and pliable.

Looks good...Where'd you find the fabric?

How well does it fold up, and are you going to make a case for it?

Might be cool to actualy take a match or such and burn the corners once's it's folded...just to give it a bit more detail.

Part of me was kinda hoping to see Big Brawler's face in the fabric... :shifty:

Anyway, neat idea!

This could well be possible. I have had other enquiries and might be doing a short production run.

From a specialist computer paper firm over here in England:

http://www.craftycomputerpaper.co.uk/

They also do waterslide and dry rub-on transfer decal sheets.

I like a good custom that needs no improvement. And now you have me wondering what other artifacts may be printable. And what others may be worth making.

Nice work, really cool idea too. That would of made a neat pre-movie to a main movie. Someone stole the shroud , the church keeps it all hush hush, and Indy has to get it back -then he goes on his big adventure.
I'm amazed at the quality that it seems to of printed out with.

I finally decided to look the artifact up. I'd no idea what it was- by name.

If memory serves, the pic from the Fortean Picture Library is a negative in order to bring out the image in sharp focus.

I have had a few requests for shrouds. I will be doing a small run of them. If anyone is interested, it would be $5 via Paypal including postage to anywhere in the world.

If anyone is interested in one, please let me know by 09:00 GMT Monday morning so I can place an order for the cotton sheets. I am placing an order for some other specialist paper then, so I will combine the order.
