SHS Hawkeye, Black Cat, War Machine, Arachne, and a Werewolf

Just some customs I finished this week.

Black Cat

The Blue spots need to be touched up, but I didnt notice them untill I took the pix

War Machine

Arachne

Hawkeye (Thanks To Push You Down for the recipe and help with the mask)

Werewolf

All in all I know that these arent my best work but I am pretty happy with them.

Very cool all the way around. I'm especially liking that Black Cat -- I think I'll have to make my own now after seeing yours. If it weren't for the blue, I wouldn't even know that was an IW body - great job polishing that turd.

I haven't followed "Spider-Woman" since the 80s, so I'm not familiar with her silver-accented costume, but I would probably go back and touch up the lines just a bit - I know they're a pain in the ass to draw freehand (which is why I wouldn't even attempt it

) but I really like the overall look.

War Machine's only flaw is the factory pea-head from MLS. Great job fixing him up.

Hawkeye looks great - I might even go so far as to say he's perfect - although I'm not a fan of that SS bow (too clunky looking.) - I'd maybe try the one that came with LRRP Stormy (or Gnawgahide?) But the figure itself is awesome.

They all look great!

Chief, Thanks as well for the input, I probably will go back and touch up the lines on Arachne (I still havent painted them on her back yet :shifty:

) But man what a pain in the arse they were :p

As for Hawkeyes bow, I really liked the one he had on the old avengers toon, and the idea of a compound bow that colapses and can attach to his back really stuck with me.
I tried to cut away most of that absurd radar dish assembly as I could and still keep it looking like a compound bow.

I'm saving the extra Gnawgie bow for Green Arrow

I like all of them. The only thing resembling a complaint I have is with Spiderwoman, and it doesn't have to do with your customization...I've just never liked the Invisible Woman body. Great job!

Yay! Black suit Spider Woman! (Arachne? When did that happen?) I always loved that character design, and you did a good job on her.

Question though - Any reason you couldn't have tossed Black Cat an' Arachne into a pot of black dye to get those parts nice and black, even in the joints? I've never dyed SHS figures, so maybe they are too soft or something, I don't know, but that would give you some sweet, fully playable chicas there, with a lot less painting.

Yeah, I think the SHS figs might be too soft for long term rit dye boiling.

I've had luck RIT dyeing SHS figures. Mainly the arms and legs, though, so I don't know how the torsos would hold up.

great bunch TC, hawkeye rules and I can't wait to make mine...WM is perfect too and the paints apps are really well done. BC looks way cool and the head and mask perfect.Spiderwoman needs tightened up but the head is cool, and the paints on the werewolf is really good too, so you have great looking customs here pal, Tim :-P

I guess I should put Arachne with these guys but here's a pic I took last night.

Not Sure if Bucky and War Machine should go with them as well but these are just the ones I know were Avengers.

Damn nice work on all of these.

Black Cat - I hate that body but the figure turned out real well. You can rit dye the bodyies if you quick stain them. Boil water in a glass measuring cup, add dye, stir, drop in figure.

Arachne-- very cool but, I like the lines better in white. Did you use the pic I sent as a reference?

Werewolf = awesome

Hawkeye-- Nice work on the mask sculpt, great figure.
War Machine - is cool
