Post subject:  25th Thunder

I was sorting through some of my unused vehicles the other day and got to playing around with the Slugger. When I tried out a 25th ann. figure in the driver seat, it fit perfectly. I figured, why not try my hand at Thunder?

The two challenges were the web gear and the headset. For the web gear, I cut up a JvC Cobra tactical vest and glued on the holster. For the headset, I tried the original from 1984, but it was too wide. I ended up sculpting up a new one with some CAD software and printing it with a 3D printer. It fits perfectly.

Anyway, enough talk, on to the pics. As always, please let me know what you think.

A) Nice work.

B) Yeah, as doing such has been the dream for we customizers for a goodly while, you're gonna need to cough up more info than just dropping this so casually, bro. Where? How? How much? Etc, etc, etc...

Thanks for the feedback guys.

AV, as for your questions, I have access to both the CAD software and the printer at work.

yeah how do you do that with autocad (or whatever program you used) and what'd you print it out with? the figure looks great, would be nice to see hasbro put this one out some time, maybe as part of a joe version battle in a box set.

This figure is AWESOME, but the fact that you used Autocad and a 3-D printer for the headset is beyond belief!

You need to start printing some awesome accessories and get them cast for mass release!

Lol! Thanks, but I'll leave that to Marauder John, he's much better at it than I am :-D

If anyone is interested in the tech behind the 3D printer/rapid prototyping machine I used, check it out here:
