I am glad you guys have enjoyed Raptor's awesome filecards. This all started out as a trade, and if you have ever traded with Raptor you know that you will always make out like a bandit! Anyway, I asked if he had any Leatherneck v4 figures or any sleeveless arms for some LBC figures I was making. I sent him a pic of the team, just to show him what I was doing; he asked what the name of the team was, to which I replied "I dunno....". (I had never really thought that far.) Raptor took it from there, asked me some questions about what I thought the team should be about, and has run with it. (I may have missed something in there, but that is it for the most part.)

For the most part, these figures are simple head and arm swaps; the figures for Greenhorn and Long-Range are all Raptor. (I just added some sculpey sideburns and painted the hair black.)

The torso for Greenhorn was sculpted by Livevil and head cast by Void; the slung weapons are Marauder Johns, with TR1ER doing the sling work. (A bunch of folks had their hand in this without even knowing it! :-D )

Anyway, here are the original pics of the team:

Here are the latest additions, Long-Range and Greenhorn

Here are the guys being briefed by Lt. Falcon (Platoon Leader), with Zombie, the Joe armorer in the background. ;-)

And this is just the team photo. (I still need to add three more troops to the team so I can have two squads of five, with one dedicated driver and Greenhorn for civilian oversight, to boot. Hopefully I can employ Raptor to write up their bio's :shifty: )

As I said before, this was a great collaborative effort, with Raptor's excellent filecards truly making this project more than just a couple of LBC's!
Thanks Raptor!

Here are the filecards in one spot. (I still need to sub Long-Range's pic)

Good to finally see the figures, they really look like a team. I especially like the set up you have with the tables and lockers. Where'd you get those?

It's a joe armory dio that I built in May. Just about all of the furniture came from Marauder Inc., I built the big shelves out of crafters wood and hot glue.

Here are some of the early pics:

Awesome to see the whole group.

You really knocked the long range out of the park.

On top of that, the armory is one of the coolest dio setups that I've ever seen. I am going to have to do something like that.

I'm happy to do the rest of the bios, and if you ever want to work on a project like this again, just let me know.

Good Job they look great. Nice mutton chops on that long range.
Aren't the 2000/2001 figures great.

It took me until this year to figure it out, but yeah, they really are.

That is a sweet armory you got there.

Oh yeah... looks like you made Marauder John a rich man ha ha...

Very nice dio and cool figs. I have gazillions of the Duke / Side-Track two pack specifically for that chest, from which I intended to make an army of my Bush-Vipers and Viper Marines

That project never came to fruition but maybe I'll do some Cobras to rival this... heh heh.

Great job man, I really like dio set ups for figures and this is one of the coolest.

I remember your write up of it and thought "wow, very clever" I would try to steal it, but for the life of me, I don't think I could ever make all those shelves, and have them stand up, :)

I like the team, you were wise to bring down tweety from the north, he is very clever with his words, :)

Thanks for the comments! It's always nice to hear nice things from folks you respect! As for the armory dio, I am hoping to do an entire P.I.T. My plan is to have my table dio placed on top of four bookshelves. (I am not exactly going to recreate the wheel, but rather figure I will just be stealing ideas from other folks kick-butt custom bases. (Holesnipe, I am talking about you, buddy! :-D )
