Hello guys and gals. Dusty is a figure I'm really hoiping Hasbro will eventually bring into the 25th anny fold (along with a few dozen others). I'd seen some really nice Dustys by different members over the past few weeks and decided to go ahead and try my hand at one. Though he's not 100% accurate to the original, I'm still fairly pleased with the end results. I'll take pics in the daylight to show his details better, but here he is so far...

I really like it. Its hard to look at him and not feel bad for how hot he is wearing that winter gear. You gave me an idea though for how I want to do mine. Great stuff here.

i still don't like the use of that star wars head gear for him...just kinda seems like he should be getting something more like a helmet than that.

Ok, using the Snow Job body was genious. I might have switched out the lower legs to give more pronounced boots but it is fine as is. Has anyone thought about clipping off the front mask part of that helmet to make it look even more like Dusty's?

cool. I agree using snow job was brilliant. You do need to switch the lower legs to give him more boots like snake eyes or duke but otherwise just perfect.I hope hasbro sees this and does it too since I want a dusty too,
Tim

Thanks guys for the comments. I thought about switching out the lower legs but the SJ legs were so bulky that it just didn't look right. I had originally planned on using a SW head, but my extra Ace had a wandering eye, so I fixed him and used him here. Yeah the SW headgear was a bit of a gimme, but I think it really works for the figure. I'm currently in the early stages of his rival, Desert Scorpion. Hope to have some WIP's in the near future.

This is brilliant. I love that you swapped out his feet. Really great all around.

Here's another I just put the finishing touches on (though now from the pics, I see some touch-ups are necessary). The eyes are not as pronounced in person; the pics just accentuate them.
