I really the way that you put this figure together, TC....There is just something about the web gear across the front...there something that I can't put my finger on. Overall, very nice job and a solid addition to your collection.

Maybe if the gear was rotated 90 degrees to Airborne's left? (ie-the part on the right shoulder would be on the left shoulder and the part on the left shoulder would be on the left side.)

JB, I think your eye is seeing the 'H' section of the web belt on Airborne's left shoulder and it's telling you you are used to seeing that wide section of web belt parallel to the ground vs at the present angle.

Not bad otherwise, TC.

If Hasbro were to make Airborne, I might have to get one...

Love it! That Mutt head works for so many customs - it's probably my favorite Joe head, period -- I've got it on at least 5 or 6 customs myself.

It looks like it might be riding a tad high on Airborne's neck, tho.

I finally put my finger on it...it's the position of the knife on the webgear. Airborne's knife went across his body on the RAH fig...thats what's I was searching for...

Thanks guys, JB is correct with the placement of the knife. I may go back and put a sheath inplace of that little molded one but if I do I'll cut the leg sheath off cause I think 2 large knives would be a bit overkill.
And Chief you are right about the head working on alot of figures which makes me wish Ihad more than just the one :(

I know you based it on the original figure but man the shirt and web gear colors really stand out. This almost looks like something Hasbro would release for a cartoon or comic pack. That doesn't mean it is bad or anything. It just catches just catches my eye and makes me re-look at the original figure.

Otherwise good solid painting and parts choices for this one.

I agree,
I like the figure, but I think he needs a little wash to take away the cartoony feel.
Of course I'm one to talk since I never paint wash anything.

I may have more of those heads

Hmm hadn't considered giving him a wash but that may well take away some of the brightness. I may play around with that idea after I finish the Zap I'm working on now.
