For the entire three of you who are interested in these, my latest Shannara customs. The rest of you just don't know what you're missing by not reading this books. ![]() Anyway, I present to you, Panamon Creel from "Sword of Shannara": ![]() ![]() ![]() Parts Used: Head: POTC "Final Battle" Will Turner, w/Green Stuff sculpted moustache Body: POTC "At Worlds End" Prisoner Will Turner w/Chap Mei "pike" hand added Sword: POTC Will Turner Sword Belt: POTC "Final Battle" Will Turner Hat: POTC Barbossa In the book "Wishsong of Shannara" Panamon Creel was depicted as a rogue and a highwayman with a decent code of honor, who raided Gnome patrols (who were themselves raiding others) for their goods. Accompanied by the Rock Troll Keltset, he roamed the Northland and it was there that he saved Shea Ohmsford from his Gnome captors and joined him in his search for the Sword of Shannara. Flamboyant, Panamon is always found wearing crimson and seems to take a devil-may-care attitude to life. At some point he lost his left hand and replaced it with a pike, which has served him quite well in his endeavors. Panamon Creel was also seen in the Origin PC game "Shannara", traveling with Keltset's son Telsek, this time helping Shea Ohmsford's son Jak in his quest to restore the Sword of Shannara and once more defeat the warlock lord. Some 300 years later, his descendant, Padishar, would take up in almost the same fashion as his flamboyant ancestor... Design notes: I only had one pic to work from, which came from the book "World of Shannara" and only gave me a side view of Panamon--not much help, and it didn't show the hat he wore in the book. It further didn't help that the game "Shannara" portrayed him as having blonde hair, while the pic showed black. Ultimately I went with my gut instinct and I'm glad I did; the black mustache simply did not work for him. The "pike" hand gave me a bit of trouble finding the right part; ultimately I used a rubbery Chap Mei type spearhead that I trimmed down, then split the left wrist (after cutting the hand off) and wedged it in. A little paint and it worked great! The only part I'm disappointed in is the right shoulder--since the "Prisoner" version of Will Turner was supposed to have the arms suspended from a bar across his shoulders, the arms are molded with the joint effectively upside down. Still I think it's passable enough. |

The Sword of Shannara starring Orlando Bloom! Seriously, nice work. Especially on the facial hair. |

I LIKE IT. Glad you went with the blond ( I always pictured him as a Red Head). I also pictured him with a gotee. Pike hand is cool. Can't wait to see more. |

More will be coming when I get the time/parts. ![]() With the goatee--I always did, too! But none of the reference material (the game or pic from "World") showed one, so I held off. |
