You barely know him, you certainally don't love him, and he deserves more spotlight that looking like Roadblock and just being another clone with a heavy machine gun. Double Blast ![]() ![]() I am looking to give him something better rifle wise down the road, but I will have to wait and see what comes along. I was thinking shotgun. Oh and then ninja gliders. I have Night Ops Claws coming too. ![]() ![]() ![]() lclajc Tell me what you think, or else! |

poisonbladed wrote: Not trying to get sympathy posts but am I doing something wrong? Why do half of my things just get no posts unless I whine? 1) The one thing I do not think you have looked at is the number of actual views your posts have. If people aren't looking at them, then they obviously aren't gonna post anything. 2) You are confusing no posts to doing something wrong. That is not a good assumption or a way of measuring just how good you think your custom is. There is a phrase that comes in handy that I want you to read and memorize, "No News Is Good News." Have you ever considered that maybe people who do view your customs saw no need to comment pro or con? Maybe they saw it and didn't feel any comment was necessary (which falls in line with my point #1 about whether your enties are being viewed or not). I know I don't post in every single new entry. 3) As for whining, I think you just need to be patient and conduct yourself a tad bit more professionally. You want people to see what you are capable of creating. You have invested time, energy, resources, and a part of yourself into each item you post. If you are acting immature (for lack of better word here), then that reflects your body of work-and your posts might just be ignored. Just relax if nobody posts, give it some time. Old threads have a habit of popping up again and again, and new board members come along almost daily-give people a chance before you act with petulance (truculence is the wrong word here). Guarantee if you are whining half the time you are turning people off/away and sabotaging yourself in the long run... |

Well I had recated that statement, but apparently you got to it before I had a chance to revise it. I wasn't trying to jump on anyone I was just generally wondering why I get few to no posts. An open and honest question is all. |

You did a Double Blast custom. Kick ass, the super obscure Joes always deserve another chance! |

I love the gliders, very cool. Doubleblast is cool too. My only critique is with the eyes. They can use some tightening. As for lack of comments, I actually hear that a lot from people I talk to, so you're not alone. |

The glider is another dollar store special. Came with a ninja and some other stuff. I think that its a pirated mold from an early 90s Batman. The armour that comes with it even has the R for robin on its chest. For a buck you get a gun, lazer tupe blast thing, glider, armour, ninja, sword, sai, and handle bars. Even though the plastic is a bit inferior that is still a huge bang for you money. I added the waist clip and stabilizer fin and cut the handle bar so joes could fit. Then I tried the Testors sticker stuff and it work pretty well. Not all the stickers stuck real well and when I apply stickers next I am just going to take my sheet to Staples for printing. Then more protection spray. I was wondering about that JFAK. They seem a little bug eyed, so I will revist it. I think if I slit them down a bit further they will work out. |

I like the gliders, that's a great find. I'm guilty of only posting a response if a custom really blows my mind. I like your customs, I think the green of the chest and shoulders should match and I agree about the eyes. Still much better than anything I've ever made. What store did you find those gliders at? -David |

If you ask me the green does match. But it is something worth looking at again, perhaps when I redo the eyes. The skin tone of the face and arms is another matter. Dollar Store - yellow words green background. I think it is only on this side of the US. There might be more. Thanks for the perspective on both fronts here. |

No posts? That reminds me of spectre, of the more talented customizers we get to see, all the time he would post crazy conversions/customs, like his predators, but get no replies. In a lot of cases, people didn't realize the level of detail he had or the work he had done or really just didn't want to say "wow, awesome" for the hundredth time, I will tell you one thing, the work in progress shots work, having the same format in all your shots work, the background being clearly contrasted, works, As far as you gliders, I have those, they aren't bad, a little und detailed for me, but usable, Who is doubleblast? LOL. Great stuff, though, keep it up, and if you really want posts, pull a spectre/AV/Darko and start a mega project, JC loves those, For instance, I know you are working on an artic team, that would be a cool series of customs. And don't let DJ give you a hard time, he's just upset I don't let him in my car, its always locked, |

What do you mean. I mean I know what contrast means, but I missed your point. Who is Doubleblast....really? I actually have two mega projects going right now. Not including the winter ops thing. That is just in gathering parts stage. I honestly never thought to post as I go. Its worth a shot. |
