This is the first version of Hawk that I purchased as a child and will always be my default when I think about the character. Just wanted to give him the 25th treatment. Overall, I'm pretty happy with how he turned out. Still not sold 100% on the helmet and goggles. May lean towards BBI for a fix. As always, lmkwyt!

Wow! - you really nailed this one, Brad. I can see where you sculpted the collar on Duke's shirt- are those his arms as well? Just plain perfect. Crap, now I'm tempted to make one too.......

Thanks for the comments. Yeah those are Dukes arms. I just dremeled down the cuffs and added sculpey to do the rest. This custom was inspired by what I felt was a lack of effort in the upcoming 3-packs on Hawk. They could have just as easily recolored him to match this. I hadn't thought to use the Duke body for Hawk, so I do admit I did steal the idea from the three pack...just added what I felt were the necessities to make the character seem close to v.2. |

I really like that Hawk custom. It's a great update of the 86 figure, and the color-matching on the paint-job is excellent. If Hasbro ever gets around to making a 25th 86 Hawk, I hope he looks just like this. Love the Starduster, too. Now that's a figure I'd like to see in 25th style. |
