Here are a few more quickie customs I whipped up the last couple days.

First is a Cobra Trooper Captain. The highest ranking blueshirt in the Cobra infantry, he's ruthless, agressive and just plain mean. He could have moved into the Viper Corps several times but has chosen to remain in his current position because it gives him more opportunity to "kill Joes".

Head: Claws Commander
Rest: 25th Cobra Officer



Next is a modern version of one of my favorite Iron Grenadier characters, General Voltar. I'm not completely happy with the way the face paint came out but it works.

Head: Good to Go Custom
Body: 25th Iron Grenadier Destro
Rifle: Marauder Inc.



And Voltar with the Iron Guard and Iron Shadow figures I've done already.

Sweet customs and damn you beat me to Commando Santa. I love that head.

Cobra Trooper Commander: I like this one a lot and may duplicate it. I'm going to have to paint the neck on mine because the turtle neck look doesn't look right to me. The gold really seperates him from the pack.

I like the direction you took Voltar, but you're right that head needs some touch ups. The beard looks like a disguise and not like it is actually attached to his face. The mustache part needs to be more symetrical. The eye needs to be touched up so he doens't looked really surprised. I can't even find wave 5 and you're using them for fodder. That hurts.

The Shadow guard figure works. Nice and simple. With the bigger helmet it makes the entire body not look so small.

Santa is funny. I especially like the added Camo.

I'm curious: have you tried using gold on the Iron Guard as opposed to the red?

I played with the idea of using gold for the shoulder strap and buckles on the torsos but I wanted to tie it in with the ARAH figure which had that read and gold shoulder strap.

The Iron Shadow though could probably use some gold on him. The belts and crown ridge of his helmet perhaps. And I need to repaint his eyeslits black to match the others. By himself the silver is fine but next to the others he looks wonky.
