No full Asunderverse entry for this thing as I'm not in the mood to go thru all that guff when there's really very little to say about this beyond:

Here's COBRA's latest model in their ever-progressing research into powered combat armorsuits, the S.N.A.K.E. Mk V. This model is expected to run about $900,000.00USD once production gets normalized; and each platoon is expected to have one member deployed in such a suit within a year's time. It greatly increases the Trooper's strength to Class 30 levels (roughly SpiderMan's level), his protection from enemy fire, and mobility by enabling powered jumps aided by compressed-air jets in the boots and back (which are kept topped-off at all times by siphoning from the atmosphere).

This is the RevolTech PatLabor Brocken (TV style) with a Trooper's head added. There was an RT socket inserted into the helmet piece which I've turned into the Trooper's neck here while hollowing out the helmet to accomodate his head. I painted the suit's bodysuit, the helmet's chin, and the Trooper's facemask black and added the Sigil stickers. The gun is from the Brocken model I got back in like '94 when I lived in Philly and first discovered Japanese toy models.

I'd love to see this in Cobra blue or some stealth gray and black.

I really like the creativity. Fits in well with the 25th guys.

such a shame Kaiyodo didn't include the weaponry with the toy. Glad to see its compatible.

I am so going to do this to mine when I get around to buying one. It works better than I thought(and I figured you'd incorporate it). So you just modded the trooper head to mount on the original neck joint?

No, the Brocken head's a 2-piece deal with a piece that's only the RT socket covered by the piece forming the outer helmet. It's difficult to describe as it's something you wouldn't see normally. I'm thinking they had to go this route to be able to mold the head properly without funky mold lines showing up.

But the inner piece is conical in shape, and glued in at the tip which projects forward into the head. I cut that piece out and fitted the tip of it into the Trooper head to work as his neck, with the RT peg coming straight up now when it leaned forward about 45 degrees beforehand.

Then I hollowed out the helmet proper to fit the Trooper head. The helmet gets kinda thin in places so be careful when dremeling. It'll also have to sit leaning down on his head, but that puts the visor grille right in front of his eyes anyway so it's good. The sides of his jawline will also show being the pointy chin of the helmet as well, which is why I painted it all black.

Glad y'all like it. I love the RT line for precisely this reason; they make [LASER BLAST]' armor suits.

Very cool, I may have to look into Revoltech stuff at some point. Hell, I just made the Scopedog plunge. (Your fault btw) ;-)

Looks very good. I don't mind that color at all, but would be cool to see it in red, black or crimson. Or even light gray like the snake. Great idea that I suspect will be copied! :)

Neat. That figure is good for so many applications.

Kinda looks like a Sigma 6 ninja BAT. ;-)

"Kinda looks like a Sigma 6 ninja BAT."

That's exactly what I thought.

I'm three generations behind on stealing ideas, I'm still trying to steal the hulkbuster idea, lol.

Looks great, man, and I'm suprised you didn't put a blurb in there about warranty and parts available through M.A.R.S.

:)

Actually, they did release this mold in red. Its just got a smaller production run.

Yup, there's a red versionas well. Frankly, I didn't want to paint this sucka as I knew I wouldn't be able to re-do the excellent black line work Kaiyodo did. I've just gotten very tolerant of blue off-tones in my COBRA armies.
