In the words of the immortal Bon Jovi: "We're halfway there!"

Secrets revealed! Deceptions uncovered! Trusts betrayed!

All this and more violence than you can shake an opened can of whup-arse at in the fifth chapter of my latest story arc, which you can view at Campers fantabulous Checkpoint Alpha:

http://www.checkpointalpha.com/wb/pages/dio-stories/hide-seek/chapter-5.php

Give 'er a look-see and then pop back in here to let me know how you think things are shaping/shaking up.

Thanks!

Excellent stuff as always. This chapter sure explained a lot about previous stories, .

*whew* Spin, man, you just took us on a hell of a ride!

The dialogue and the transition from one locale to another and back was well thought out and perfectly paced. Your customs continue to impress, as well. You've come to make me EXPECT Microman hands and I love it!! They're so expressive and really help convey what a character is saying/doing. Your sets also improve upon the perfection they'd already achieved in every single panel. Really great stuff!

Doc. Wow! I've never been a huge fan of his. For me, he never really took the forefront that Lifeline did (plus, I just reread all of Justin's stuff and Lifeline was prominent recently in his "Retaliation" arc). However, this chapter has forever altered how I see him. Thank you for that! I can't wait to get my 25th Anni. figure, but it doesn't compare to your custom. I'm hoping to see even more of him!

Loved Cutter, too. "That'd be a lot funnier if I could see your other hand." Priceless!

I've been meaning to comment for a while, so just know that I've thoroughly loved every single chapter and am very much looking forward to the next!

Very cool, Spin. The story played out smoothly, the effects were good, and I loved the action scenes. Nicely done.

Some of your subtle tweaks and changes actually make me wish I had rebooted my own continuity a little bit, this works remarkably well.

Very good job!

Justin

Thanks for the kind words, gents, and for taking the time to check this out.

I'm very glad some of the seeds I planted in earlier story arcs are starting to bear fruit for longtime readers.

Here's hoping the second half of this arc won't disappoint.

Fantastic work! You've managed to tie up a lot of loose threads quite nicely without everything coming across as "decided mid-stream". Everything has been carefully choreographed from the beginning and this issue had a fantastic payoff.

Seriously-- I CANNOT wait until the next installment!

So, you've kept us in suspense for a while now-- how bad are things in that cell for Stalker and Grunt?

The fates of Stalker and Grunt will be revealed very soon.

As for the choreography, yeah, I guess that was pretty deliberate.

I've had multiple story arcs scripted for a couple of years now, so I have a pretty good idea of where things are going. Most of the dialogue gets rewritten once I see the pictures, but the overall plot and character dynamics are all predetermined. Glad to know that's working for you.

Great as always. Mostly I'm just glad that The one you were using for him just didn't work for me. Keep it up, I don't comment all that often, but I love your stories.

I know what you mean, man. The novelty of that noggin wore off on me about midway through Bludd & Fire. So I'm as happy as you are to have a proper Bludd head on my custom of the Bad Major (and just wait until you see him with the microman hands I installed!).

He is my favorite character, after all...I had to do right by him.

;)

Really glad you're digging the story.

Thanks for commenting.

As always the story was great and seeing your customs in action is always a pleasure...

However, I believe you made a serious mistake with your completely unrealistic portrayal of Breaker getting his ass kicked by Zartan. While most people think that Snake Eyes is the badass of the joe universe, I, a former military comm guy, know that the true badass is Breaker. If Zartan snuck up on him with Breaker being blindfolded, with his hands tied, standing on one leg, in the dark, Breaker would STILL punch him out in front of his girlfriend while insulting his mother.

How do you know that was really Breaker?

:shifty:
