Wave three???? I thought I saw someone doing Action Force and Shadows before but I don't remember your work.

Wow I though I was the only one who took on aggressive full tilt crazy large projects but you took a kings ransom in Joe stuff and made this.

Amazing don't really do it justice. My only negative is the paint on the Warthog, but that is really just a nitpicker thing.

Thumbs up, and they probably will stay up for some time, along with my smile.

First BAD thing about this is the title.....you forgot to put PIC HEAVY on it for the people with dial up..

Other than that cool customs. But I still don't dig the figures cause of thier Star Warsy articulation.

I agree with PB about the Warthog. I just don't see how it can be a Space Warthog. Nothing about it screams out SPACE.

Wow! That's all I can say. Never cared a bit for the Persuader, but men you've gotten my attention. Outstanding customs. Tight paint apps. Wish these come out in retail.

Whoah! That's a lot of Action Force customs. Great job on all of them, both with painting and with names. My favourite is the Q-Force platform, cause it matches well without too much paint. And I laughed when I saw the ton of Krakens inside the Whale. Interresting lot indeed, you must have worked a long time with this. I think I need to see wave 1 and 2 as well.

:wow: Those are all just fantastic, especially the Red Shadows stuff. The paint work looks flawless. My favourites would have to be the WHALE, the Hornet and the ShadowCat. The latter is oustanding. Love the pic with the Krakens piling out of the WHALE. The BloodBuggy is great.

Absolutely incredible. These are great, the paint apps are awsome. My only nitpick is the red is a little too glossy. Hope to see more of your stuff.

Thank you everyone!

Just to clarify, these are my first customs. I named them Wave III as there were two waves of original Action Force toys before they shifted to UK GI Joe. If you're interested, there's a full archive at my site.

I'll amend the title with a dial-up warning - thanks for pointing that out roguetiger. Lonewolf419, relax, that's the camera. They have a satin lacquer which looks dull in the flesh and gloss in print... Tigerclaw, they musta have taken about a month, the real sod was cutting out the stickers with a crap pair of scissors. I easily spent over £100 on materials!

There's been a lot of debate about the Warthog, the real reason for the choice was that it arived after I'd started painting (I did them all in one sitting), and I was light on Space Force, I had toyed with making the TTBP into a Moonbase but was equally light on Q Force. I think somwehere in the back of my mind the rockets reminded me of a Gerry Anderson Thunderbird ship or something similar. The other custom that got criticism was the Shadowstriker, it's been pointed out that the Red Shadows tech was all fantasy-based and that this doesn't fit as a result, it's a good point that never even occurred to me!

The Shadowcat and the Whale were stolen from Jimbo at my BFTB boards, if you feel like hunting through the customs section his Z Force stuff is well worth a look. Z Force green is impossible to find as a spray, so I kinda cheated on the SLAM and HAVOC, but I now have a set of red SLAM missiles form the UK Edition whihc fit much better.

I'm gearing up towards doing Wave IV, just hunting down the last few accessories.

Thank you all again, I really appreciate it.

Best scissors I have found for cutting decals was actually at a Ren Fair. There hand made from some where in Europe but I forget where.

I dig the Warthog as a space vehicle for the most part. If it was vacum sealed you could just drop it off on a asteroid or moon and it could be a mobile missile turret as those missiles never really seemed earth bound to me anyway. With no back story by itself it really dosen't work though in and of itself.

My comment was more due to what I saw in the close ups. The paint seems uneven. I have painted with what I think is that color and it is hard to get even.

The stickers and the shinnyness is overall what makes this lot seem cool. Its like there production and brand spanking new.

Wow. Tons of good stuff. My favorite is the TTBP just because it is so vibrant it sticks out over the others. I could totally see that being made. I was actually going to say the Warthog as a Space Force vehicle was a great choice. It is a big tracked vehicle great for moving troops with I agree the missiles do look very futuristic. The Raider was just a fantastic choice as well.

Yeah...that's enought pics to crash my home pc. Just a tip for next time...Don't post all the pics as Immage... You only really need to show one pic of the custom, and then give the links to the other pics of the custom so people can check it out if they like what they see...

I know I've passed on leaving a comment here simply because I couldn't load the page or knew it take a bit to load up...

As for the Vehicles...I'm not that wild for the Red Shadows stuff...It looks nice...but it's pretty bland...needs somthing to break up all that red.

My fav is the SAS stealth...that vehicle just looks really good in those colors...good call on that one.

The Sea Force TTBP is another great use...colors match right up and the use even makes sense...

Everything else just kinda blends into vehicle overload...

not a knock on your work...but I've never been a fan of Chap Mei vehicles...every now an then one of their figure's parts works well on a custom...but not all that often. I'd have rather seen an SAS Tomahawk than that Chinook.
